Self-adhesive Label Materials are divided into two kinds:self-adhesive paper labels and self-adhesive film labels. The paper labels are divided into: coated paper,thermal transfer paper, writing paper, mirror coated paper, kraft paper, etc., these are people familiar with, with the rise of industrialization and people's awareness of environmental protection, film adhesive materials suddenly rise, enjoy the benefits of electronic technology here and focus on film labels.

The common film materials are PP, Synthetic Paper, PE, PET, PVC, PP and PE blends, etc. Different materials have their own characteristics and application fields, and most of the film can be processed into multicolors.

1. PP (Polypropylene): Biaxially oriented machine, also known as BOPP, has good tensile resistance, good opacity, high hardness and excellent durability, but it is generally resistant to heat and transparent materials have excellent transparency. The PP material is applied to a bottle that has a hard surface and cannot be squeezed. In the market, the use of Glassine or PET liners to match PP face stock is taking into account different levels of transparency requirements.

2. Synthetic paper (a kind of PP material): looks like paper, matt white, after biaxial stretching, tough material, good crush resistance. At the same time with good thermal transfer printing performance, hard texture, suitable for flat or hard surface. It is widely used in electronic components and daily chemical products.

3. PE (Polyethylene): It is soft, resistant to crushing, poor in stretch resistance, white and transparent, and can be metalized. Due to its good softness, PE is often used on bottles that are often squeezed and easily deformed. However, the PE material is too soft and needs to increase the stiffness by increasing the thickness. The thickness of 80 to 100 μm is the most common, and it is often used as a large-area labeling material.

4. PET (polyester): excellent high temperature resistance, durability and tensile resistance, good chemical resistance, high stiffness, a variety of colors, can be metallized, transparency of the transparent material is excellent. The material is not deformed by stretching, it is difficult to tear, and metal friction sounds when it is shaken. Widely used in electrical appliances, electric and mechanical equipment, can reflect a very good texture and strength.

5. PVC (polyvinyl chloride): It has two kinds of soft and hard, durability, tear resistance, softness, good chemical resistance, and is widely used in electronics, machinery, batteries, and outdoor applications. However, the temperature resistance and the tensile resistance are normal, and a certain degree of shrinkage occurs due to the influence of temperature. It is easy to tear when stretched. Due to environmental restrictions, there is less and less indoor use.

6. Mixtures of PP and PE (polyolefins): Uniaxially stretched with a machine, has a high tensile strength and tear resistance, low opacity, soft material, and extrusion resistance. The material can be stretched to form a straight line in one direction and hard in the other direction. This kind of material combines softness and stiffness in one, has good stiffness in the machine direction, good softness in the other direction, smooth labeling when labeling, and good crush resistance after labeling. Widely used in eye care solution and daily chemical products.
