The choice of raw materials

Surface materials can be used in many materials, generally divided into coated paper, transparent polyvinyl chloride (PVC), electrostatic polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyester (PET), laser paper, temperature-resistant paper, polypropylene (PP), Polycarbonate (PC), kraft paper, fluorescent paper, gold-plated paper, silver-plated paper, synthetic paper, aluminum foil paper, fragile (security) paper, textured paper, cloth label (Tevik/nylon) paper, pearl paper, Sandwich coated paper, thermal paper.
      The choice of raw materials should be considered from the following aspects.

1.The surface gloss and color consistency, density uniformity

Reaching some of these indicators determines the uniformity of the ink-absorbing material of the adhesive material, and also determines the color difference of the same batch of label printing products. The coating strength of the face material determines whether a large amount of paper powder will be produced during printing, which is also an important indicator of the quality of the printing.

2 Indication of the uniformity and strength of the thickness of the base paper and the surface material

These indicators are not only related to the printing performance, but also an important indicator of the die cutting uniformity and the speed and edge breakage at the time of discharge. If these metrics are too low, the labeler will not produce at a fast speed.

3 The flatness of the material or the uniformity of the rewind tension

Whether it is sheet-fed printing or web printing, the flatness of the material determines whether the paper can be fed correctly, run and register, and received at the time of printing. For reel material, the rewind tension will play an important role in the flatness of the end face of the reel material, the presence of glue penetration, and the correct registration.

4Binder, silicone oil coating uniformity and correct coating amount

These indicators directly affect the peeling force (release force) between the label and the backing paper, and the size of the peeling force directly affects the speed of die-cutting, waste discharge, and the machine. The peeling force also determines the label export status, that is, the application status. . In addition, the amount of glue applied will also affect the condition of the glue on the end face of the material. Therefore, when purchasing the adhesive material, it is necessary to carefully examine and select the materials with the proper amount of coating and silicon coating.

       Problems to be aware of when selecting Label Materials

1) For cylindrical bottles, especially those with a diameter of less than 30 mm, choose materials carefully.
2) If the label size is too large or too small, practical tests should be performed.
3) If the object to be attached is an irregular surface or even a spherical surface, there are specific considerations for the type, thickness, and adhesive of the label material.
4) Some rough surfaces such as corrugated cartons can affect labeling, and the varnish on the surface of corrugated cartons can also have an effect.
5) Automatic labeling machine labeling, if necessary, can be labeling test.
6) Even if the label is labelled at room temperature, it should be noted whether the export is experiencing high temperatures during transit and during use.
7) Multi-water or multi-oil environment will affect the properties of adhesives. Attention should be paid to the labeling environment and temperature.
8) The plasticizer may sometimes seep out on the surface of the soft PVC. Special attention should be paid to selecting the appropriate adhesive.
